Shane Victorino takes out full page ad in Daily News to say aloha

Shane Victorino and his eponymous charitable foundation took out a full-page ad in Thursday’s Daily News to say goodbye to Phillies fans.

After eight years in the Phillies organization, Victorino is back with the team that originally drafted him. Shane loved playing in Philadelphia and by all accounts was sad to leave.

Shane was traded early Tuesday afternoon and had to fly out to the west coast the same day so there wasn’t much in the way of a goodbye, either public or private, from the Flyin’ Hawaiian.

Just a total class act, this guy is.
